Add-On Blocks: Expand Your Plan Limits and Save

Pre-pay for extra storage or monthly visits at a discount, and avoid overage charges entirely.

What Are Add-On Blocks?

Every plan comes with a set amount of storage and monthly visits. If you need more room but a bigger plan feels like overkill, add-on blocks are the middle ground.

Add-on blocks increase your storage or visitor limits in fixed increments, billed as part of your subscription. They cost less than overage charges, and you can add or remove them anytime.

Two Types of Blocks

  • Storage Blocks: each block adds 10 GB of storage
  • Visits Blocks: each block adds 25,000 monthly visits

Blocks attach to a specific plan and raise that plan's limits, shared across the sites on that plan. Buy as many as you need: if your plan includes 10 GB of storage and you add two storage blocks, your effective limit on that plan becomes 30 GB.

Pricing

Add-on blocks are available on monthly or yearly billing:

Block Type Monthly Yearly
Storage (10 GB) $9/mo $96/yr ($8/mo effective)
Visits (25K visits) $9/mo $96/yr ($8/mo effective)

How Blocks Save You Money

Without add-on blocks, going over your plan limits adds an overage charge of $10 per block to your next invoice. Pre-purchasing blocks instead saves you:

  • 10% with monthly billing ($9 vs $10)
  • 20% with yearly billing ($8 vs $10)

If you're consistently going over, adding blocks upfront is the smarter move.

Managing Your Add-On Blocks

Adding Blocks

  1. Go to Billing in the sidebar
  2. Scroll down to Add-Ons
  3. Use the + button to increase the quantity for storage or visits, on the plan you want to raise
  4. Review the prorated cost and confirm

Blocks take effect immediately, and your subscription is prorated so you only pay for the rest of your current billing cycle.

Removing Blocks

Use the minus button to reduce your quantity, then confirm. You'll get a prorated credit on your next invoice.

Checking Your Current Blocks

Your active add-on blocks and their effect on your limits show on the Billing page. You can also see your overall usage, including the add-on bonus, on your Websites page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mix monthly and yearly blocks?

Blocks follow the billing interval of the plan they're added to. If that plan is monthly, your blocks are billed monthly.

What happens if I remove blocks and go over my limit?

Standard overage charges apply to any usage above your new effective limit at the end of the billing period.

Do blocks apply to a specific site?

No, but they do apply to a specific plan. Blocks raise the limits on the plan you add them to, shared across every site on that plan.

Who can manage add-on blocks?

The account owner and anyone with Billing access can add or remove blocks. Others can see them but can't make changes.

Will I be charged immediately when adding blocks?

You'll see a prorated charge for the rest of your current billing cycle. After that, blocks are included in your regular subscription invoice.
