What the Newsletter Does and What It Costs
What you can do with the Newsletter, how the six plan sizes are priced, and what happens when your list grows.
The Newsletter lets you email your customers from your own business name, on your own domain. You can write an email and send it, or point us at your blog and every new post goes out to your list on its own. You pay for the size of your list, not for how many emails you send.
You do not need a website or hosting plan with us to use it. The Newsletter is bought on its own, and plenty of people who use it have their site somewhere else.
What you get
- Your own sending address. Your emails come from an address on your domain, like e.yourbusiness.com, not from a shared address with our name on it. See Your Newsletter Address.
- An email editor. Drag the pieces into place, write the words, and send it now or schedule it. Emails look right on a phone and in Outlook.
- Your blog, mailed automatically. New posts go out to your list without you copying anything. See Emailing Your New Blog Posts Automatically.
- Signup forms. A link you can share, a form you can put on your website, and a confirmation email so the addresses you collect are real.
- Welcome and follow-up emails that send themselves when someone joins.
- Your logo and color on every email and every page your subscribers see.
- Reports led by clicks, so you can see who went to your site because of what you sent.
- Unsubscribes handled for you, with one click to leave and your postal address in the footer, as the law requires.
You can run as many lists as you like, and it stays one line on your bill.
The plans
Every plan includes all the same tools and a sending address on your own domain. The only difference is how many subscribers it covers.

You can send as often as you like, within fair use. There is no charge per email.

Who counts as a subscriber
Only people you can actually email. Anyone who unsubscribes, marks you as spam, or turns out to be a dead address stops counting the day it happens. You never have to delete or archive anyone to stop paying for them.
Someone on two of your lists counts once, not twice.
If your list grows past your plan
Nothing breaks, and nobody is turned away at your signup form. For that month you pay $4 for each extra 1,000 subscribers (or part of 1,000), worked out from the highest number of subscribers your list reached during the month.
For example, on the 1,000 plan, if your list peaks at 1,400 in March, March costs $15 plus $4.

Choosing or changing your plan
- Go to Newsletter → Settings and open the Plan & sending tab.
- If the Newsletter is already on, open Your plan and billing.
- Pick a size and click Choose plan (or Switch plan if you already have one).
- Check the price change in the box that appears, then click Confirm.
Changes take effect straight away and are prorated, so you only pay the difference for the rest of the month. A size smaller than your current list shows Below your list size and can't be picked until your list fits.
You'll need a card on your account first. If there isn't one, you'll see Add payment method, which takes you to your billing page.

Signing up if you're new to Reggio Digital
You don't need an account first. The signup page at reggiodigital.com/newsletter/checkout creates your account and takes your card through Stripe. Nothing else is bought, and no website is created.
How it's billed
The Newsletter has its own subscription. If you also host a website with us, it arrives as its own invoice rather than being folded into your hosting bill.
Leaving
To stop, open Your plan and billing on the Plan & sending tab and click Remove newsletter. Your subscribers are yours either way. The Export button on the Subscribers page emails you a file of your list, and it keeps working after you remove the Newsletter.
